Injuries Caused by Defective or Malfunctioning Machinery
Construction jobs and other work which requires the use of heavy equipment and machinery can be very dangerous. Any individual who is not properly trained or who lacks the skills necessary to handle a particular piece of machinery could find him- or herself as the victim of a serious construction accident or other work-related accident. Injuries involving cranes, forklifts, bulldozers, buzz saws, drill presses, grinders and other tools or pieces of machinery are often quite severe and may require immediate medical attention to prevent amputation, permanent head or spinal cord injuries, or types of injuries that could lead to permanent damage or loss of life. Dangerous products generally stem from a flawed design, a defectively manufactured product or one that lacks sufficient instructions, warning labels and other key safety features.
