My son, Michael N. Duncklee was murdered on May 21, 2014 by City of Tucson Law Enforcement Officers Robert Soeder and Alan Meyer. Needless to say, our lives instantly became a complicated, confusing, and emotional mess. We wanted answers and demanded accountability. I was introduced to Matt and Ted Schmidt in early June 2017 by the father of a personal friend. We knew immediately that we were in the best place, in the best hands, with the BEST OF THE BEST!

It was not going to be easy, but Matt and his team went above and beyond all expectations in the critical areas of investigative work and in the written dialogue to communicate to the courts the clear facts supporting our claim of Excessive Use of Force resulting in the Wrongful Death of my son. In our quest for justice, Matt's unfailing dedication and belief in justice for Michael was instrumental in the District Courts ruling in our favor.

The City of Tucson appealed the District Courts decision, and our case was calendared to be heard on July 17, 2017 by the 9th Circuit Appellate Court in San Francisco, California. Matt again went above and beyond, and assembled a highly qualified team. I cannot even begin to know or imagine the pressure Matt was under, but I do know he presented and argued our case with the utmost professionalism and dedication; - we couldn't of asked for more.

Matt was not only thorough, but was also always willing to take the time to discuss our case, and always responded to my questions and explained all processes so I was always informed and educated.

I remember in one of the many conversations we had, Matt had said to me "...I have gotten the chance to know Michael, and I am not only financially invested in this case, but I have also become emotionally invested in this case.
