Suit Settled Over Teenage Drowning

A lawsuit that was filed on behalf of a 17-year-old from Plainville, Massachusetts was settled recently. The suit, which was filed in January 2010, was regarding the 2008 drowning death of Taylor Meyer. Meyer drowned after she wandered away from an outdoor underage drinking party. The two people who settle with Meyer's family were Paige and Brian Zuzick, a brother and sister whom supplied the alcohol for the party. The Meyer family attorney said that the settlement was spurred by the enormous amount of remorse shown by the Zuzick's, who were two of the seven defendants named in the lawsuit.
