AZ Injury Law partner Matt Schmidt is extremely active in our Tucson, Arizona community as a coach, mentor, volunteer, philanthropist, and local leader.

Empower Coalition - whose mission is to improve lives in the greater Tucson community by empowering charitable organizations with resources necessary to carrying out their missions - is one of the charitable causes that is close to Matt's heart and he has been instrumental in helping raise awareness and funds for local charities than need it most.

An active Board Member and recently named Chair of the 2023 Tucson Beefsteak - a local fundraising event organized by the Empower Coalition  that has raised over $800,000 to benefit outstanding local non-profit organizations that support Veterans and military families - Matt has helped organize the efforts that pulled together and matched major donations that directly contribute to our local veterans' community and support several different initiatives and programs.

In their continued effort to make an impact on our community, Matt and the Empower Coalition had the recent honor to present checks totaling $70,000 to seven worthwhile organizations who make the world a better place for the men and women who serve us.
