On June 26 from 1-4:15pm, Matt Schmidt and Amanda Bynum will be teaching "Stress Management & Wellness: a Toolkit for Lawyers" for the State Bar of Arizona. It is worth 3 hours of CLE, including 3 ethics credits. The program will focus on practical strategies and skills to incorporate into a stressful legal career and to improve balance in an overwhelming modern day society.
After writing a technology column for the Pima County Bar Association's monthly publication "The Writ" for years, Matt has started a new column, "Mind your Mind," which focuses on stress management and mindfulness. Several times a year, Matt also gives talks at the law school to help law students prepare for the career and life they are heading into. In fact, Matt has been a guest speaker a few times Amanda's career development class.
Amanda Bynum is the Director of Externships & Bar Success at the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law Career Development Office. Having experienced the stressful world of criminal law as a criminal defense attorney in both the private and public sectors, Amanda now focuses her time helping law students and people in general on career development and self-care.
