The Steven M. Gootter Foundation is dedicated to saving lives by defeating sudden cardiac death through increased awareness, education, scientific research and the distribution of automated external defibrillators (AEDs). The Foundation, established by his loving family and friends, is dedicated to this mission in memory of Steven M. Gootter.
We are proud to support the Gootter Foundation and the wonderful work it does in Southern Arizona. Since it's inception, the Gootter Foundation has raised over $3.5 million dollars in its ongoing efforts to fund research and provide life-saving AEDs to first responders and non-profits and community organizations in Southern Arizona. It is the benefactor of an Endowed Chair at the University of Arizona's Sarver Heart Center, and to date close to 200 AEDs have been deployed in Tucson and the surrounding areas.
Dev Sethi was honored to be part of the Gootter Foundation's recent video profile, a piece that provides an overview of the foundation's work and has first-hand stories from local survivors. To learn more or get involved, please visit their website.
